Gradual updating

If I shut down Photoshop and relaunch, it's fast again for a time, but then gets very slow again.I have tried various different Performance tab settings in the Preferences dialog box, but no combination seems to work.Last year, Microsoft itself said the AU rollout would be staged over roughly three months, but Ad Duplex’s figures show it actually took nearer four months before the upgrade was deployed to 80% of Windows 10 users.

The software giant also needs to carefully monitor any bugs which pop up, and suss out if these are affecting particular hardware configurations, taking appropriate action to fix things for users down the line.

With the AU, Microsoft was particularly careful with older hardware because compatibility issues and other gremlins are more likely to occur with such veteran PCs.

I have also tried CTRL ALT at startup and re-arranged the scratch disk order, but again, this hasn't helped. I am running: Windows 10 Home 64-Bit Intel Core i7 3.4GHz Sandy Bridge CPU16GB Dual-Channel DDR3 RAM2GB Nvidia Ge Force GTX 570 GPUAsus Sabertooth V2 Motherboard I am also using Photoshop for image retouching. I have even tried changing the font options and disabling the rulers, as suggested when this happened in the 2015 version of Photoshop. Your comment on the scratch disks using ctrl alt reminded me so I tried that.

There are only 4 choices there, but my missing drives (in PS) showed as available, so I chose one of those.

In a pilot study in which patients were initiated with SMX/TMP prophylaxis by gradually increasing the dose over 2 weeks, no significant adverse reactions have occurred.

Patients are randomized to receive either gradually increasing doses of SMX/TMP suspension or routine daily initiation of SMX/TMP double strength (DS) tablets for 2 weeks.

And after a full six months, the AU hadn’t reached 90% of all machines.

There are several reasons why major updates have to be deployed gradually, one of the main factors being that Microsoft doesn’t want to overwhelm its download servers with a massive rush of folks grabbing the upgrade.

Like its predecessor Yosemite, El Capitan is quite memory hungry.

One of the simplest ways to do that would be to use a convenient and reputed software program like Clean My Mac 3.

Clean My Mac 3 frees up loads of unnecessarily occupied disk space with just a couple of clicks, converting that used space to free memory that will then assist your Mac’s RAM, resulting in much faster performance from El Capitan.2. Not all Macs can run El Capitan, at least not very well. If your Mac isn’t compatible, you may need to rollback to Yosemite or whatever version of OS X you were using before.
